NEHS DIGITAL – Improving the efficiency of the care pathway

As a publisher, integrator and distributor of health solutions, NEHS DIGITAL supports more than 2,500 public and private health establishments and 2,000 private medical and radiology practices in France and abroad to help them meet the current challenges of the health system. Agility, audacity, listening and pragmatism are part of their DNA.

A subsidiary of the MNH-nehs group, NEHS DIGITAL is a 100% French company with a team of more than 300 people and 5 areas of expertise: medical imaging, telemedicine (with a global solution equipping more than 2,500 health structures), organisation of the medical interpretation service, production & coordination of care, security and interoperability of information systems.

Global telemedicine solutions

NEHS DIGITAL proposes a teleconsulting solution operational within 4 hours in any health structure, a tele-expertise solution enabling an advice request regarding a patient, a teleradiology solution in order to exchange radiographies between health structures and ask a second advice, and a tele-interpretation service with the TMF association of radiologists.

Customized solutions to face COVID-19

More than 1000 health structures chose to trust NEHS DIGITAL’s team to ease the management of patients who were hospitalized or confined at home. Beside a 24/7 support for all structures, the software publisher has generalised teleconsulting to the whole of hospital centres and made free tele-expertise available for the 500 health establishments of the national network via the “COVID-19 advice request” module.

NEHS DIGITAL also deploys the KelDoc online appointment scheduling solution in vaccination centres in the framework of the vaccination campaign against COVID-19 in France.

An unprecedented mobilization of radiologists in France

Fully committed to the fight against COVID-19, the French Society of Radiology (SFR) has established a partnership with NEHS DIGITAL to implement a national reference database in order to improve knowledge and develop innovative solutions for diagnosis, prognosis and follow-up.

Strong with its expertise in more than 2,000 health structures, NEHS DIGITAL’s team assumes the costs related to the national database FIDAC (French Imaging Database Against Coronavirus). This project was made possible by the grouping of thoracic imaging files executed in France. The ultimate goal is to carry out research projects and stimulate the ecosystem around start-ups to accelerate patient diagnosis. More than 3 million scanner images have already been identified.

Future prospects

The FIDAC project will continue indirectly with the strong cooperation of Thales and NEHS DIGITAL so as to create an artificial intelligence applied to CT Scan images collected and enable medical teams to prioritize cases according to medical emergency. Six pilot sites have experimented the first version of this project selected by the Ministry of the Armed Forces.

Another stake is the digitization of the care pathway. Interoperability is paramount to ease the integration of digital solutions and take into account government programs such as “Ma Santé 2022” (My Health 2022) with the Digital Health Space. The aim is to strengthen e-health services proposed to healthcare professionals and, in fine, to patients.
