CITC

CITC is a centre of technological expertise specialising in contactless technologies, the Internet of Things, AI and cyber security for connected objects. This expertise is appreciated by the more than 450 companies supported in their digital transformation process.

Bringing together the University of Lille, Inria, ENSAM, IMT Nord Europe, major groups, SMEs, start-ups, the Hauts-de-France Region, the European Metropolis of Lille and the DRARI, the CITC offers a service to help define R&D projects (digital transformation needs, solutions to be implemented, proof of concept). The aim is to minimise risks. The cluster is also active in networking, technology watch and assistance in building consortia to respond to calls for projects.

In 2020, CITC designed and built the prefiguration of the future regional Cyber Campus, in synergy with the national campus. An initiative supported by the European Metropolis of Lille and the Hauts-de-France Region. Missions, needs, participants and economic model are currently being discussed within the two bodies for a launch planned for January 2023 on the EuraTechnologies site. It also involves the creation of the Regional CSIRT (Computer Security Incident Response Team), a cyber incident response centre. This will be a great showcase for the cybersecurity sector in Hauts-de-France.

CITC has also been shortlisted in the “European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIH)” call for proposals: the consortium it leads is carrying out the GreenPowerIT project which, if selected, will serve as a single regional contact point to meet the needs of eco-responsible digital transformation of companies.

Three themes have been selected: connected objects, AI and cybersecurity. This is a valuable opportunity to expand the CITC’s networks, which are already experienced in providing training to more than 3,500 people, and to take up a threefold challenge: increasing security, reducing the environmental impact of connected objects and embedded AI applications, and leading change in companies by reconciling economic and ecological issues.
